About the Author
Historian Faren Siminoff, J.D., Ph.D. is a published author who has long been intrigued by the question of where we are going as a nation in this political and economic climate. She explores this theme in her first novel, “The Transformation: GTE 45,” which was inspired by the political, economic and social challenges currently facing American society.
She is a full professor of American History at Nassau Community College and a graduate of New York University (Ph.D., American History) and Syracuse University College of Law (JD). Her previous publications include the well received, “Crossing the Sound: The Rise of Atlantic American Communities in Seventeenth-Century Eastern Long Island,” (NYU Press, 2004) and (co-author) “Tackling College Admissions,” (Rowman & Littlefield, 2008).
